Certified IPv6 Training (SILVER)

Introduction

The UUM KTP IPv6 project entitled “IPv6 Human Capacity Development Program for Public Sectors In Malaysia” officially started on 1 September 2012 for a 24-month duration until 31 August 2014. The project team is led by Professor Dr Suhaidi Hassan and comprises of three other principal members, two graduate interns, one project officer and four UUM trainers.

The Ministry of Higher Education allocated a funding amount of RM 142,311.00 for this project under its Knowledge Transfer Program. The project is conducted with initial collaboration with the Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM).

Project Objectives

This project attempts to assist Malaysia public sectors in building their human capacity in IPv6 technology, specifically to produce 500 trained IPv6 professionals among public services ICT personnel, through local development of IPv6 training syllabus, learning material and certification program.

Our Report Card

Until the end of June 2014, we have trained 750 ICT staff from Malaysia’s Public Sectors workforce (Grade 17 to JUSA C), from more than 278 public agencies/departments/ministries and in more than 20 training session by our highly motivated ad patriotic 10 member of IPv6 team.
